General Electrical is presently engaged in carrying out Rehabilitation Project of Marafiq Power and Utilities Company of existing eight Gas Turbine Units. This scope includes the replacement of gas turbine internals to upgrade and rehabilitate the eight GE designed Frame 7E gas turbines and therefore upgrade the other auxiliaries. Al-Jazirah engineering consultancy for safety (AJECS) has been appointed by GE power services to provide the fire protection consultancy services for the project, AJECS scope covers all project stages in line with the requirement of SAF-01:

Project Goal and Scope:

• Prepare Front End Engineering package FEED which include fire hazard analysis, building code analysis, design basis, Identification of Fire Protection, Fire Detection, Alarm and design parameters, generic material, equipment specifications and all documents & drawings as required by HCIS directives (SAF-01).
• Review & Evaluate the installation package documents produced by fire protection contractor. Identify the format and contents of Safety and Fire Protection Packages which are to be submitted to the High Commission for Industrial Security (HCIS) as required in SAF-01.
• Participate in Testing and Commissioning

Obtaining HCIS approval.
